The waist and skirt are gathered to an inset belt to which tie ends are joined at the sides. Two large patch pockets trim the front. The back of the pinafore is finished with a button closing. the armhole edges and square neck of Style II are faced. Style II has dainty ruffles across the top of the armholes. Rick rack braid may be used to trim the neck, ruffles and pockets.
